DIRECTIONS & PARKING

Young People’s Theatre of Chicago (YPT) is the professional Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) company in residence at Lincoln Park’s historic Greenhouse Theater Center.‍ ‍

One of Chicago’s most storied theaters, the Greenhouse Theater Center is located at 2257 N. Lincoln Ave., just south of Fullerton, between Webster and Belden Avenues.

YPT’s four-show Fifth Anniversary season is presented on the Greenhouse’s 195-seat Downstairs MainStage. Note that concessions are available outside the theatre and may be enjoyed in the theatre space. Restrooms are conveniently located just outside the theatre, with additional ADA-accessible facilities available on the second floor, accessible by elevator.

Public Transportation

Take the Red Line or Brown Line CTA train to the Fullerton stop. When you exit the station, turn right and walk one block east and then two short blocks south on Lincoln Ave. The Greenhouse Theater Center is on the East side of Lincoln Ave.

The Greenhouse Theater Center is also near stops for the 74 and 8 bus.

Driving

If you choose to drive, please allow extra time to park. See below for information on nearby parking garages.

From the 90/94: Exit at Fullerton, turn east at the bottom of the ramp onto Fullerton Ave. Drive approximately 2 miles east. Make a soft right onto Lincoln Ave. at the major intersection of Lincoln/Fullerton/Halsted, drive past Belden Ave, and the Greenhouse Theater Center is on your left, between Belden and Webster Avenues.

From Lake Shore Drive: Exit at Fullerton, and head west about one mile. Make a hard left onto Lincoln Ave. at the major intersection of Lincoln/Fullerton/Halsted, drive past Belden Ave, and the Greenhouse Theater Center is on your left, between Belden and Webster Avenues.

Parking

The Greenhouse Theater Center has partnered with ParkWhiz to make finding parking in the area easy and affordable.

Lincoln Avenue also has paid street parking, on Sundays parking is FREE. Parking is always free during the day on nearby side streets.

Parking Validation

The Greenhouse validates for the garage at 2316 N. Lincoln Ave.
